Isha Garg, MD

Isha Garg is a medical Doctor with a specialization in Pathology. She is a Professor of Pathology at St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, where she was also the Head of the Department of Pathology from 2002 to 2006. She has over 26 years of medical teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Besides her interest in Anatomic Pathology, Isha has always had a keen interest in the application of ICT technologies in the practice of medicine and in public health.

Isha Garg has just returned to St. John's after a one-year sabbatical at Stanford University where she was a Fellow in the Reuters Digital Vision Program, working on a project in Disease Surveillance.

Isha has earlier had short stints as a Visiting Observer in Pathology at Emory University School of Medicine and at Stanford University School of Medicine.

She studied for her MBBS degree and MD (Pathology) at Christian Medical College [CMC], Vellore, India. CMC, besides being a leading medical research and teaching institution in India, is also is a WHO collaborating centre for Family and Community Health in India.
