D. Krishna Sundar, PhD

D Krishna Sundar graduated as a mechanical engineer. He then went on to take his masters degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with majors in IT and OR. He obtained his Doctoral degree for his work in the area of "Decision Support Systems for Operations Management with specific reference to Integrated Logistics Management" from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Prior to joining Indian Institute of Management Bangalore he taught at IIT Kharagpur. His areas of interest are Electronic Business Management, ERP, E-Governance, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Dr. Krishna Sundar taught masters and doctoral level courses in the areas of Electronic Business Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Logistics Management, Decision Modeling, Quantitative Methods, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Computer-based Materials Management. As part of executive education, he designed and conducted programmes of short and long duration for both private and public sector organisations.

As part of funded research projects, Dr. Sundar is handling research projects in the areas of E-Business: Consulting Opportunities in Service Sector", "EBusiness Framework for SMEs", and "Combined E-business model for Customs of India". Dr. Sundar has his research published in international journals & presented in international conferences.

Dr. Krishna Sundar is a consultant to many manufacturing and IT companies, both in India and abroad, in the areas of E-Business Management, ERP Implementation, Operations Management and Logistics Management. Dr. Sundar is also a consultant to both Central and state government organizations in their E-Governance projects. He also designed and developed software for various organizations. He is a SAP AG partner academy trained SAP R/3-PP consultant.
